Upcoming Rhododendron Society of Connecticut Meeting

SPEAKER:  Mary Villa  

Mary Villa recently retired from a career of over 18 years as the curator for the 770 acre Connecticut  College Arboretum.  The arboretum features a wild flower garden, bog, dwarf native conifer collections and a nationally accredited native azalea collection.

Graduating from UCONN with a BS from the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources.  Mary has worked in the public and private sectors as a town planner and a landscape designer before joining the arboretum staff.  With over twenty years experience on public projects including parks, streetscapes and schools her work experience also includes landscape design for commercial and residential projects.

Mary will take us for a "Walk on the Wild Side", as she explores the Native Azalea Collection at the Connecticut College Arboretum.
